Orlanda Broom, a distinguished artist with a diverse background, has carved a prominent place in the contemporary art scene. She graduated with an MA in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art (Barcelona) in 1997, after completing her BA in Fine Art at Cheltenham & Gloucester.

Orlanda was a pupil at Frensham from 1988 to 1990, a formative experience that would influence much of her creative journey. Her career has taken her on a fascinating international journey, living in Portugal during the 2000s before making London her home for over a decade. Eventually, she returned to the countryside, where she now works from a large industrial studio just outside Liphook. The space serves as the perfect environment for her expansive artistic practice.

Orlanda's work has been widely recognised and celebrated, both in the UK and internationally. She regularly exhibits in London, showcasing her art to a broad and diverse audience. Her current work is part of a new exhibition at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery, titled Flowers – Flora in Contemporary Art & Culture. This exhibition highlights her exceptional contributions to the contemporary art world and is open for public viewing until 5th May 2025, offering a unique opportunity to experience Orlanda's compelling art in one of the most respected galleries in the world.

'My landscapes represent re-imagined places which are abundant and wild, the immediate sense of joyousness is tempered by an uneasy sense of abandonment. I depict places that offer a timeless quality and a glimpse of paradise that is lost to us.'
